JOB SUMMARY The
Beverage Cart Attendant is one of the most visible and valuable team members at Riverside Golf Course and is a critical part of the golf course's customer service and overall customer experience. This role professionally assists in all aspects of service for the Riverside Golf Course including the handling of snacks and beverage service.
We are willing to work around college/school hours!
This is a non-exempt position.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Deliver friendly first class customer and drink/snack service on-course, in the clubhouse, and while on duty.
- Become familiar with the layout of the golf course and proper golf etiquette to deliver the most efficient and courteous on-course drink and snack service.
- Keep a clean, attractive looking and properly maintained beverage cart.
- Stock and restock the beverage cart with inventory and supplies at the beginning of the day, throughout the day as directed, or as denoted in any operating checklists provided.
- Be available to work morning and afternoon shifts.
- Unload and reconcile beverage and snack inventory at the end of the day or as denoted in any operating checklists provided.
- Ensure accurate transactions using the point of sale tablet provided for on-course beverage cart service, handling both cash and credit card transactions, as well as reconciling daily beverage cart close-outs.
- Keep all money and beverage cart inventory secure at all times while on duty.
- Practice safety and courtesy to golfers at all times.
- Help to ensure the golf course is kept clean and free of trash.
- Promote and be a steward of the golf course at all times.
- Come to work on time, properly groomed, and in uniform for every scheduled shift.
- Become knowledgeable of daily course conditions and other important and pertinent happening during each shift.
- Regular attendance at work.
- Performs all other job related duties as required or as become apparent.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Ability to transport self from building to building. Employee will be exposed to seasonal temperatures and will walk, stand, kneel, squat and twist to stock and maintain beverage cart. Must be able to walk on loose, uneven and sloped ground. Employee will be exposed to insects as well as chemical, mechanical, water and dust hazards. Ability to routinely lift materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Must have an outgoing personality and be customer service oriented. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact and communicate both orally and in writing. Knowledge of basic math skills related to cash handling, credit card transactions, and daily cash receipts. Must be available to work weekdays, weekend days, and holidays. Knowledge of computers.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification: Must be at least 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of six-month experience in customer service and cash handling preferred. Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certification required within two (2) weeks of employment. A review of your credit report is required and must meet City guidelines. Valid Texas driver's license with driving record that meets City guidelines.
Part-time employees are not eligible to receive the City of Victoria benefits package.
