Description:

• We are seeking a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to assist the surgical team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The CST will maintain a safe and aseptic environment during operative procedures, demonstrating teamwork and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during operative procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficiency and safety during surgeries.
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments and supplies.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• Must have completed a Surgical Technology program, or
• Five consecutive years of training/experience as a surgical tech, or
• LPN with one year of surgical tech experience preferred.

Experience:

• CVOR experience required.

Skills Checklist:

• Current to within the last year, pertinent to the specialty.

Licenses/Certifications:

• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
