Our full-service network provides a variety of Primary Care & Priority Care Services, including Family, Internal, Geriatric, and Pediatric Medicine, in addition to several specialties to deliver custom care based on the unique needs of our patients.
Responsibilities PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Customer Service: - Greets and directs the clients and other visitors in a prompt and courteous manner. Utilizes skills to assure satisfied clients.
- Notifies the providers of client's arrival. Monitors waiting time to ensure the client is seen within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time.
- Communicates a professional attitude with clients, visitors and other hospital personnel using language and materials based on the consideration of the client's age, cognitive/physical abilities and/or developmental needs. Assures confidentiality of patient and other hospital information.
- Effectively triage telephone calls and prioritize the needs of the caller.
- Identify individuals calling in crisis situations and expeditiously connect caller to appropriate clinical personnel.
- Recognize the vulnerability of individuals seeking information and consistently demonstrate respectful, sensitive, friendly, professional customer service.
- Apply knowledge of CHI Health levels of care and managed care contracts to facilitate appropriate referrals for individuals inside and outside the CHI Health system.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all client information.
Schedules/Registrations: Responsible for scheduling, canceling, rescheduling client appointments for physicians, nurse practitioners and psychologists. For therapists, clinic office specialists will be responsible to assist with cancellations and rescheduling appointments. Works directly with physicians/providers in maintaining the accuracy of their schedules. Provides secretarial support to physicians/providers, upon request.
Qualifications Experience Previous experience in a medical setting preferred.
Education High school graduate or equivalent with specialized training in typing, transcription, medical terminology and record keeping is preferred. Equivalent education/experience will be considered.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must have a strong personal initiative, organizational skills, problem solving skills and customer service skills. Must possess the ability to perform multi-task
