Job Description

About the company

We're ProResource, a dynamic marketing agency that provides personal branding for senior executives, primarily in the technology sector. Some of our clients are CEOs at tech startups; others are VPs or directors at Fortune 500 tech companies.

Our goal is to give them a LinkedIn presence that impresses people, provides insight into who they are as a leader, maintains mindshare with their network, and attracts board roles and other opportunities.

Our team is passionate about creating impactful content so our clients can shine on LinkedIn.

About the role

We're looking for a talented writer and editor to join our team and craft engaging, professional content for our executive clients.

This is a full-time, 100% remote position. You have the flexibility to set your own schedule, as long as you are responsive to clients and the team. We do require availability for 1-2 Zoom meetings each week between 9am and 1pm ET.

As a LinkedIn content writer, you will:

  • Interview clients for 30 minutes each month.
  • Create 5-12 high-quality LinkedIn posts each month in the client’s voice.
  • For some clients, you won’t do a monthly interview. Instead, you will be responsible for drafting posts using news from their company and industry.
  • Work with our graphic designer and the client’s team to obtain images.
  • Get the client’s approval for the posts, then schedule them using LinkedIn’s scheduler, making sure they look great on desktop and mobile.
  • Engage with the people who like and comment on the client’s posts, as well as other LinkedIn posts, in the client’s voice.
  • Monitor analytics and report to the client. Also use the data to make sure we are reaching the right people, and continuously improve engagement and reach.
  • As client preferences change, keep their strategic plan updated.
  • Stay up to date with constantly changing LinkedIn best practices so you can maximize engagement and reach for your posts.

About you

We need someone who has a passion for LinkedIn and writes beautifully. We are looking for “sparkly” writing – writing that is dynamic, colorful, energetic, and makes people want to read more:

  • Talented Storyteller: 5+ years as a professional writer, with experience crafting compelling and effective LinkedIn content for senior executives, in the voice of the client.
  • Strong Interviewer: A journalism background, ideally with experience interviewing executives. You can pull stories out of introverts and find the nuggets in what they tell you.
  • Excellent Editor: We have two part-time editors, but they are both close to capacity. We are looking for a writer whose editing skills are strong enough that they can act as a back-up editor and proofreader.
  • Business-Savvy: You have spent time with senior executives at large companies and understand the implications of P&L responsibility, governance, board roles, and other issues that senior tech executives care about.
  • Tech-Savvy: You are familiar with the B2B enterprise technology industry and stay on top of news and trends so you can suggest topics if the client is fresh out of ideas.
  • Fast Learner: You quickly come up to speed on a client’s industry, target audience and pain points, the client’s solution, and industry jargon.
  • Client Whisperer: You are warm, friendly, and excel at keeping projects moving even when clients get busy.
  • Excellent English: You need to write and speak English fluently, using American grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
  • Organized: You are comfortable managing multiple projects. You are good at managing your time, so work is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality, polished content. You automatically double-check data, images, and links.

What's in it for you?

US $1500-2000/month, depending on experience.

You will work with great people - our team is wonderful and so are our clients. You will also learn a lot about LinkedIn!

ProResource is a purpose-driven business. We work hard to help clients achieve their goals, grow their businesses, and advance their careers. You will work with team members who do excellent quality work and are genuinely nice. Life is just too short to work with people who aren’t both reliable and fun.

Our values include:

  • The client comes first. We value their time and work hard to make things easy for them.
  • Deliver on promises. Don’t commit to something you won’t be able to do. If there is bad news, deliver it as quickly as possible.
  • Results matter. We set realistic expectations, then keep experimenting so we can continue to improve results.
  • Work-life balance is important. Someone covers for you when you go on vacation so you can truly relax.

Please include the URL of your LinkedIn profile and provide 3-5 examples of your writing. If you have done LinkedIn ghostwriting for anyone, please include links to examples of posts or blogs you have written for them.
