Job Summary


The purpose of the position is to organize, coordinate and administer clinical and field experiences. Sustain a network of school sites for field experiences and student teaching; placement of teacher candidates in appropriate field experience sites; oversee the record keeping system for all fieldwork and student teaching; conduct at least three student teaching seminars per semester; and assist with accreditation activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain teaching load
• Liaison with school districts with job announcements for and placement of candidate applicants.
• Serve as Pk-17 Committee Chair
• Hold training for mentors and University supervisors
• Coordinate OPLE office assessment planning and reporting.
• Review, revise and prepare and present reports, data and evidence
• Serve on University, College and Departmental committees
• Facilitate and monitor placement of all teacher candidates for residency, field experiences and OP Hours Review background checks for all candidates.
• Serve as University Supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Minimum:

• Valid Teaching Certificate
• Three or more years of teaching experience in the K-12 setting

Preferred:

• Doctorate in related field
• K-12 Administrative leadership certification
• Experience as a K-12 Administrative leader
• Experience as an evaluator of teachers in a K-12 setting
• Knowledge/experience with common core state standards
