WHO WE ARE The Institute for Family Development (IFD) is an international leader in providing services that keep children safe, strengthen families, and reduce out of home placement. We provide a range of in-home counseling services, including IFD’s internationally recognized, evidenced-based Homebuilders program. WHO WE WANT TO HIRE We are looking for therapists/counselors with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children, youth and families. Homebuilders’ therapists:
- Maintain small caseloads (average of 2 families).
- Work with families in their homes, schools and communities for 4-6 weeks.
- Schedule client sessions at times that are most helpful to families.
- Respond to their assigned families when unexpected crises occur (or arrange coverage within the team if unavailable).

Competitive Compensation - Hiring Bonus: $2,250 (Paid over 2 years)
- Master's degree: $60,078 - $64,556 annual salary, DOE
- Bachelor's degree: $54,190 - $58,261 annual salary, DOE
- Paid mileage and paid travel time
- 5% bilingual salary add-on for some languages
- This is a non-exempt position that qualifies for overtime compensation
HOW TO JOIN OUR TEAM Minimum Requirements: - Graduate or undergraduate degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field.
- Undergraduate candidates must have at least two years’ experience working with children and families.
- Valid driver’s license, a vehicle in good working condition, and automobile liability insurance that meets minimum agency requirements.
- Residence in or near King County.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs (including some evenings and weekends).
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal history background check.
- At least 21 years of age.
