Job Title: Farmers Market Driver & Staff Member

Location: Varies (Uptown Phoenix Farmers Market, Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market, Gilbert Farmers Market, Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market)

Job Type: Part-Time ( Saturdays Only )

Job Purpose: The Farmers Market Driver & Staff Member is responsible for the comprehensive management of market day operations, from the loading and delivery of bakery products to customer interaction and sales at the market, to the final return and unloading of the truck. This role ensures the seamless execution of market activities, upholding the brand's reputation and core values. This is a Part-Time, one day/week role (6-8hrs/week).

Key Responsibilities:

Product Delivery:

  • Load market supplies, pastries, and bread securely into the truck.
  • Safely transport products to the assigned market location.

Market Setup and Sales:

  • Unpack and set up the market booth with superior aesthetics and cleanliness.
  • Operate a Square POS system for sales transactions.
  • Package pastries to order and bag customer orders accurately.
  • Deliver personalized and genuine customer service, communicating product and business information effectively.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and follow proper cash handling procedures.

Market Breakdown and Return:

  • Pack up and clean the market booth at the end of the day.
  • Drive the truck back to the pickup location, unload products and equipment, and maintain the cleanliness of the truck.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional service during market hours, addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, including delivery times, mileage, and any issues encountered.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and food safety and handling guidelines.

  Communication:

  •  Keep up with company communication, updates, and announcements via Discord to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid ID and clean driving record.
  • Valid food handling certification.
  • Must be 25 years or older (for insurability).
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver preferred.
  • Knowledge of local roads and routes is an plus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry bakery products of various sizes and weights (up to 75 lbs).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Availability to work Saturdays from 5 AM to 2 PM, with flexibility for additional hours if needed.
  • Ability to operate a truck and lift gate, and load/unload products.

Compensation:

  • $20-22 hourly plus tip share.
