The Opportunity :

As a Graphic Design Intern, you will collaborate with our Creative Team to create visually appealing graphics that enhance our brand's messaging across multiple platforms. You'll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, sharpen your design skills, and gain valuable hands-on experience in the creative industry.

This is a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office). This is a part-time, temporary position through April 2025. Must be available to work 10-29 hours per week between M-F, 9 AM to 5 PM (based on business needs).

What You'll Do :

• Assist in designing engaging graphics for our brand, marketing, platforms, etc. 
• Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with our brand guidelines.
• Help develop and refine company branding elements
• Support in creating and editing materials 
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
• Ensure all designs are optimized for web performance and responsiveness.
• Stay updated on the latest design trends and tools.

What We're Looking For :

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Basic understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Strong creative and visual skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take and implement feedback without feeling like it's a toll on your very mortal soul
• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset. 
• Familiarity with motion graphics or video editing tools is a plus.
• A portfolio showcasing your design work (school projects, freelance, personal projects, etc.). We won't even look at your application without a portfolio.

Interviewing @ Canopy:

We know application processes can be a little stressful. Here's are the stages of a typical interview process:

• Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it's a mutual fit! 
• 20 minute phone call with the People Team
• 45-60 minute video or in-person interview with the Hiring Manager
• 1-3 rounds of interviews depending on the role
• Final Interview

Interview processes can vary depending on the role. The People Team will give you a role specific overview of the process during your first phone call. 

Remember : This is your interview too! We know candidates are evaluating us just as much as we are them. We encourage you to bring questions to each of your interviews—our hiring teams will always make sure to save time for questions at the end!
