Job Description

Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP is seeking a well-rounded, highly motivated litigation paralegal with 3-7 years of experience for its New York office ( A sbestos Experience Only) . The successful candidate must have strong academic credentials and willingness to learn from a dedicated and successful litigation team.

What You Will Be Doing

• National Account Team Case Management that includes maintaining databases, document retention, control and production; meeting docket deadlines; and assisting with coordination and monitoring of local counsel around the country
• Preparing and organizing a variety of pleadings, motions, documents, forms, charts, letters, presentations, reports
• Reviewing and summarizing depositions and records
• Preparing for depositions, including medical summaries and witnesses
• Cite checking of briefs regarding fact and legal citations
• Preparing for hearings
• Document production

• Proficiency in MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with managing databases and document management systems
• Proficiency in e-discovery and document review software
