Position Summary The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the planning, development, support, and execution of the RxFunction brand and product marketing creative design and collateral development. He/she works directly with the CEO and cross-functional partners to define the creative strategy, architect collateral, and activate external tactics across all channels to bring launches, programs, and campaigns to life and differentiate RxFunction and Walkasins, researching and leveraging best practices and ensuring overall strategic alignment and consistent messaging. The individual in this role leads the development of, and updates to, branding guidelines as well as style and writing guides and works with agencies of record to ensure consistency in messaging and brand use across all channels. This individual must be strategic, driven, highly organized, and an effective communicator (written and verbally). They will interact closely with cross-functional teams including Sales Operations, Quality & Regulatory, Compliance, R&D, Customer Service & Reimbursement, as well as external vendors/partners.
Job Responsibilities - Define and develop creative strategy and collateral design to support marketing plans for launches, campaigns, and programs, delivering content that is on brand, on message, and consistent across channels to achieve corporate objectives and elevate RxFunction to the next level
- Develop content that is clear, succinct and tailored for target customers to achieve best return on investment
- Lead development of, and updates to, templates for key collateral/deliverables, helping to ensure consistency in look and feel
- Provide annual audit of RxFunction and best practices; leverage findings to identify and execute new opportunities to elevate RxFunction
- Manage the development of, and updates to, brand guidelines, style guides and writing guides
- Identify, monitor, track, and report out on marketing communication metrics across all channels, partnering with cross-functional teams as needed to collect data. Develop and share quarterly marketing communication dashboards
- Identify and partner with preferred agencies and freelancers to complete work; manage work and deliverables; provide training for vendors
- Define and develop strategy to optimize and execute content plan for digital and social media opportunities, updates, and maintenance, including the RxFunction website and other digital properties
- Partner with sales team to identify, create and/or optimize deliverables for tradeshows and conferences
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders; proactively communicate and align on plans, expectations, project timelines, program activity and logistics.
- Partner and collaborate with external vendors to ensure work meets expectations
- Manage outside vendor relationships and billing
- Manage direction and development of Marketing Communication Coordinator on team
- Manage allocated budget, identifying cost savings where appropriate
- Maintain compliance to the RxFunction Quality Policy/System (e.g. Green Light Guru), and all other documented quality processes and procedures, when performing assigned tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications - BA, BS (or equivalent) degree with 5+ years of Marketing or Marketing communications experience.
- Overall business acumen; Strategic thinker; Knowledge of marketing communication channels, including digital and interactive strategies; Strong influence, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite, including Acrobat Pro for proofing and annotating documents; Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel); and basic design programs (e.g. Publisher). Proficiency in marketing strategy and integrated planning.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications: Project management and executional excellence; Bias for action and results orientation; Creativity; Relationship-building and team management skills; Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity, self-directed. Understanding of, or experience in, medical device industry a plus.
