Birchcrest Tree and Landscape, Inc. is looking for year-round Tree Care Industry Mechanic with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the landscape mechanic industry. Ideally looking for diesel mechanic experienced with landscape trucks and equipment

Duties may include:

Mechanical diagnostic/troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs for fleet of bucket trucks land landscape trucks (diesel and gas), chippers, bobcat machines, stump grinders, and other related tree and landscape equipment

• Working knowledge of operating landscape equipment, chip trucks, bucket trucks
• Solid knowledge and experience with heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, prentice loader
• Knowledge of both diesel and gas engines, hydraulic repairs, and electric repairs
• Welding and fabrication are a plus

Requirements include:

• Self-motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent work habits and organizational skills
• Team player and works well with others
• CDL highly desirable but not required

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to wear necessary PPE
• Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments
• Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment
• Must have a basic set of hand tools
• Clean driver's license
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, move and maneuver heavy weights of 10 pounds frequently, and weights of up to 50 pounds
• Gripping
• Climbing
• Balancing
• Pulling and pushing

Hours:

7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential overtime

Pay:

Up to $35.00/hour. Negotiable based upon experience.
