Paint Prep at Aerotek in POST FALLS, Idaho, United States Job Description Description: + Working in an aerospace manufacturing shop making parts for commercial aircraft, primarily Boeing. + Preparing parts to be painted by wiping them off with acetone or isopropyl, taping them to a tray, and then flipping them once painted + Occasionally sand or deburr parts using files, hand grinders, or power tools. Using the hand sander can be hard on the hands/shoulders + Need good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, primarily working with a lot of small parts + Job is fast paced, will be prepping anywhere from 1,500-3,000+ parts each night + Will be wearing a respirator + must be able to do repetitive work and be capable of working under little supervision, must have good work ethic + No experience in manufacturing required but is preferred and helpful; reliability, attendance, and initiative/pace are essential + Must be okay working around chemicals (paint, acetone, isopropyl) and wearing a respirator + Simple, repetitive, and monotonous, but fast paced with production metrics that will need to be hit + Very light duty but will be working on feet all day.
