We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Salon Coordinator/ Assistant Manager to join our team.

Position Overview: As a Salon Coordinator/Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our salon. You will support the Salon Manager in coordinating daily activities, managing staff, handling all client facing responsibilities, front desk tasks, and delivering top-notch customer service. This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. Must be able to wear lots of hats and handle a busy environment with ease.

Salon Coordination:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day salon operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Support the Salon Manager in supervising and training staff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as booking appointments, processing transactions, and managing client records.
  • Assist in marketing efforts and promotional activities to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve salon goals.

Front Desk Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients warmly and check them in for their appointments.
  • Answer phone calls and emails, responding to inquiries, booking appointments, and providing information about salon services.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage appointment schedules to optimize staff time and ensure a smooth flow of clients.
  • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns that arise at the front desk.
  • Maintain the front desk area, keeping it tidy and stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a salon or spa environment.
  • Experience in a management or supervisory role is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of salon or spa operations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using salon management software and point-of-sale systems is an advantage.
