Job Description

Futurex is seeking a Technical Writing Intern to help develop and maintain advanced technical documentation, with the potential for future internships or full-time employment upon graduation.This position is on-site at Futurex's Engineering Campus in Bulverde, 15 miles north of San Antonio, Texas. The Technical Writing Intern will communicate and work with individuals across our engineering and marketing departments, to support technical documentation efforts across the company. Primary responsibilities include the research, information gathering, API command testing, program testing, and the documentation of these tests and data structures, for use by tier-one customers across the globe.

Students will gain experience working in MadCap Flare, an advanced technical documentation application, in addition to experience testing API commands and operating advanced cryptographic devices. We are looking for candidates who have excellent attention to detail, a technical background, and superior writing, editing, and communication skills. Ideal candidates are passionate about learning new skills and concepts and want to learn about cutting-edge technology. We also want someone who loves to work with other people and can effectively communicate with individuals from a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with development, editing, and revision of customer-facing sales and marketing materials
• Maintain and develop technical documentation, including technical references and API consultations, to ensure that all references are accurate, tested, and thorough
• Develop and maintain broad knowledge of sophisticated technical concepts

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in computer science
